Austrian-Chinese Workshop on
Dissipative Systems:
Kinetic Theory and Semiconductor Applications
from November 03 - 05, 2010
at Vienna University of Technology, Austria
co-financed by the Eurasia-Pacific UniNet and Vienna University of Technology
This workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary and international group of mathematicians, physicists, and engineers working on problems related to the theoretical description of open quantum systems and dissipative kinetic models, in general, and specific applications, such as electronic devices.
One main objective of this workshop is to identify emerging nanoscale structures for the post-CMOS era, to develop careful designs of microscopic and macroscopic transport properties, and to suggest fast, reliable, and accurate multiscale simulation techniques. On the level of mathematical analysis an additional aspect shall be the large time behavior of (degenerate) dissipative systems.
