Winter semester

AKBIO Hearing Theory (SE/Seminar 101.647)
After successful completion of the course, students are able to give insight into the basics of hearing and will read, summarize and understand scientific articles in the fields of acoustics and physiology of hearing. Furthermore, they are able to present and discuss similar topics.

Computer Simulation in Medicine (VU/Lecture and Exercise 101.498 & UE/Exercise 101.529)
After successful completion of the course, students are able to choose a suitable software bundle for a biomedical engineering project. The students are able to perform computations as well as to analyze and visualize obtained results.

Summer semester

AKANW Brain Modeling (VO/Lecture 101.152)
After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the basics of computational neuroscience. Moreover, they will be able to understand the key points of the relevant scientific literature.

AKMOD Neuron Modeling (VO/Lecture 101.186)
After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and to use models for the excitation of nerves. These models are suitable for both physiological investigations excitations as well as for neuroprosthetic applications.
