Computational Methods in Applied Mathematics (CMAM-9)
TU Wien, July 13-17, 2020

We are delighted to have received many high-quality minisymposium proposals and individual paper abstracts, adding up to over 200 talks in total.

However, given the rapidly growing problems due to the current pandemic, it might be possible that the conference cannot take place as planned. We will hold off from a definite decision until Mai 01, 2020 to see how things develop. In the meantime, everything is on hold. We also encourage everyone to hold off from making any definite travel and accommodation plans.

The conference is organized under the aegis of the journal Computational Methods in Applied Mathematics (CMAM) and will be focused on various aspects of mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. Its scope coincides with the scope of the journal: It aims at fostering cooperation between researchers working in the area of theoretical numerical analysis and applications to modeling, simulation, and scientific computing. This is the 9th conference following earlier ones in Minsk in 2003, Trakai in 2005 (CMAM-2), Minsk in 2007, Bedlewo in 2010 (CMAM-4), Berlin in 2012, Strobl in 2014 (CMAM-6), Jyväskylä in 2016 (CMAM-7), and Minks in 2018 (CMAM-8).

The 9th edition of the conference (CMAM-9) takes place on July 13-17, 2020 in Vienna. The support of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) through the Doctoral School (DK) Dissipation and dispersion in nonlinear PDEs (grant W1245) and the Special Research Program (SFB) Taming complexity in partial differential systems (grant F65), as well as of TU Wien and the Vienna Center for Partial Differential Equations is thankfully acknowledged.

The scientific program of CMAM 2020 will include
